1. Data we collect
Securio collects two kinds of sensor data from your device, reflecting its dual context:
Environmental data — Air Quality Index (AQI), particulate readings (PM1, PM2.5, PM10), CO and NO₂ levels, and location-tagged journey pins when you enable route mapping.
Biological data — skin temperature, posture signals (accelerometer/gyroscope), and step count, used to provide personalised awareness and safety alerts.
We do not collect personal identifying information such as your name or email unless you voluntarily provide it — for example, when joining the waitlist or registering in the app.
2. How data is used
— To provide real-time alerts (for example, high AQI, heat-strain awareness, posture feedback and SOS events).
— To compute your personal Exposure Index and, over time, your personal baselines for posture and skin temperature.
— To produce aggregated, anonymous environmental insights (for example, average pollution levels along a road). These never identify you.
3. Data security and sharing
Your individual sensor data is anonymised on the device before transmission, encrypted with AES-256, and never sold to third parties. Only anonymised, aggregated, non-personal data is ever shared, and only to improve environmental understanding and urban safety research.
4. Your rights
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. Use the Delete Account page or the in-app settings. Deletion requests are completed within 7 working days of confirmation.
